Have any of you heard of the new GBA 3D engine for games. It is made by this italian company and is code named 'BLUE ROSES'.I have already seen shots of a GBA Resident Evil which looks a lot like the original on the playstation,a game similar to wipeout and a flight simulator, all in glorious 3D.Good eh!

As Sonic said,

The GBA screen wont be able to handle those graphics, although the processor may be a GBA that is quite obviously running on a TV. The GBA has a 32 bit processor but it simply cant handle 3s bit graphics well like the PS", think about it, its impossible for a screen that can handle 16 bits to run 32 bits properly, i think that's just about the only desingn flaw in the GBA, other than thst it's brilliant.........

Ah, actually, I've got a theory.

It IS possible to get a resolution like that, because it's not that high.

*turns around, runs back a mile*

Right. There's a technique called pixel splitting. You know that a colour is made from three colours, red, blue, and yellow, right? Or whatever they are.

Anyway, the idea is, if you split a pixel up into three different portions, and then use a small amount of colour from any of the three lights in the three sections within the pixel, it's quite possible to have a higher looking resolution that it actually is. I know all this because I've been researching it, for me, Meka, Venom and the like.

So although it may look a little muddy, it's a good possibilty that while these pictures may not have been taken on the LCD display, that it CAN be reproduced on it, with a little programming.

About time there was something people could look at and go "Woah".

But as Rav says... shouldn't really get hopes up. Too much. :0)

Don't get your hopes up right yet- the screens are clearly working on a much higher resoltion than the GBA screen... you simply can't get that sort of detail level.

I've now seen the movie on it. Fairly impressive, since its GBA, although very basic. I retract that rumour comment. I was more intrigued, though, by the Resident Evil Movie ad which was before the footage. Very intrigued.

Darned internet rumours.

Oh, and did you know there's a fourth island on GTA3 where you kill the president and mickey mouse and fly an aeroplane into the twin towers and umm (wracks brain for new rumour to add to mill) you get proper planes with rocket launchers attached to them ((to self)Heh).
