Hi everyone,
The Playstation 3, X-box 360, the Wii all great consoles, i know we each have our favourites, but then it wouldnt be any fun if we all liked the same thing!
I know there are a lot of new and kind of original line up of games coming out or all ready out - Assassins Creed, Mario & Sonic at the Olympics, Endless Ocean and then there are the games we have all seen, played and completed before, but with a few new twists, nice graphics and a different plot.
What i am trying to get at is basically, where do your views lie in the sense of Developers putting more time into NEW Games, with new plots, characters, original storyline and new innovative features. Or are you happy with seeing Mario saving Peach again, Another Rainbow Six game, Tony Hawkes with better graphics??
It must be so hard for the developers to have fresh, orginal ideas, i personally love a lot of old characters, such as Mario, Sonic, Dante and i am more than happy to see more games come out with these brilliant creations in, as long as they have a few subtle changes, but keep the gameplay i love. I also like trying new games, but i know some people really do not like sequeals, and always think they fail.
Just wondering where you all are with this one, and if you know of any great games coming out, be it new or old, which are not widely known then please post them and share the knowledge.
For an example, i am really hoping we see a Jak & Daxter on the Ps3, i do not know if we are going to get it, but im hoping like mad! I have seen some images and videos of a Naruto game and im very excited about it.
So have fun with this and like i said, any new games your excited about let me know!

I think if you're not doing anything new with a story you need to be innovative with the gameplay or vice versa. I've no interest in identical sequels which add nothing to the previous game. I sense thats why i stopped playing football games a long time ago. Graphics are only important for what they allow in terms of gameplay. Something like MGS's first person mode wasn't possible on the PSOne version so it was a welcome addition. I think the reason i've fallen out of the games loop in the last couple of years is because that sort of innovation is disappearing. Everything has become very samey, it's boring and i'm not going to pay £500 to play the same games i was playing 5 years ago, just because they look a bit prettier.
