Yes I do. I am Dan - the original Dan - and I have to inform everyone that my role as a part time gamer is to play games. I don't really care what advertising goes into the game - or who makes the game - I don't really care which format it's on - but as long as the game is good - i.e. There is enough reliable evidence to suggest the game is worth purchasing then I will, providing my financial status is in good steed, purchase the game.
At present there are no Playstation2s readily available - and I feel that Sony has betrayed all their devotees and gone and skanked the whole games industry - OK so the PS2 has DVD - but in Japan it is basically seen as a DVD player ONLY - the games sales speak for themselves. OK - so Sony are losing thousands of Yen every hour - as they make sizeable losses on the consoles - but the Games Industry In Japan is flourishing - as they are STILL playing Playstations - as sales charts show - playstation have the best selling games!
So where is this going? Well, I have a Dreamcast. I have had a Saturn on and off, and I have recently purchased an N64 with Goldenye - I have never owned a Playstation - but I am sure it has some great titles available. But, when a Saturn and 5 top titles costs me only £35 - then I'm not going to be missing out - in my view NiGHTS was the greatest game on the 32 bit platforms, if you have played the title you may know exactly how amazing it really is.
Now, when an N64 and Goldeneye costs the same - yes £35 then I really can't refuse can i as this is also a Fantastic game - Yes it is the best 64bit game EVER (although there wasn't any competition) and I am fairly impressed by all things Nintendo.
But I have a Dreamcast as my primary console - why? Because it has the greatest games. I have a huge collection of over 23 titles for dreamcast and nearly all were worth buying - except who wants to be a millionaire of course.

And, I am looking forward to, what I believe will be the best 128bit game EVER - SHENMUE. You may well have heard about this game - but it is SO much more than this - apparently it's an experience not to be missed - and I won't be missing it - come december 1st I will own this game - unless the release date slips - like MSRs - Metropolis street racer - another game that is set to vamp up the Dreamcast racing genre as a whole.

So what about X Box? What about PS2? What about G-Cube? Well, these consoles ARE not currently available as I type - but they'll be here within 2 years. From what I have seen of the X Box - it seems like it will mash PS2s guts out - but isn't THAT impressive - stats are stats - let's see the thing do something groundbreaking first. And what about G-Cube? Well I think it could be the end of the line for Nintendo's consoles - GBA will sell well, but Game Cube? OK so the screenshots are looking amazing - but really - why do we want Mario AGAIN? I think they are too unambitious - and won't spread their wings out - have Nintendo EVER made a good football sim? a Good Racing game?
There you go.

Excuse my brain. Its spelling is rather poor at times.
(Ahem. It should have read:
I haven't got a clue, I don't even know where you are now...)
That's better, see, that wasn't so hard, was it?
(I am beginning to detest you.)

Well i prefer PC games, you can't go wrong with a PC. Well unless you want a beat em up, but who does? Oh. Anyway, the amount of superb games coming out for it and the numerous billion other functions it can do make it better than all the consoles put together including those unreleased ones, and it's probably cheaper! Anyway, it's nice to have a console just for quick games and multiplayer with your friends in the same room (not that you can't do this with a PC, just that you need several PCs, and thousands of pounds). You should get a PC, everything you could ever want for just £1000 ish. Well it seems like a lot but it'll last you a long time, okay?

Pokemon came a lot later in the N64s history, they could have had lots of fighting games by then, but it didn't appeal to how they wanted the console seen. Nintendo wanted to be different at the time, then only after bad sales figures they realised that this didn't work!

BTW: I can't believe I managed to get on the net this early, usually I'm too busy until later on (my 'lunch' hour, which starts about 8!) But this is costing me money so I'm off again, till later!

Yeah I totally agree, the PS hads loads of excellent fighting games, even the Saturn one, but Nintendo lost out, as they decided to make more money with little pokemon, Super Smash Bros was fighting game, well as close as you can get. Dan it's nice you decided to be unbiased, ANT has aswell, I don't know much about you but it's a good start.
Don't say the PS2 is a bad console as it has not unleashed it's full potential yet, when it does other consoles will look bad, hopefully not the G-Cube though, I am hoping to buy it for Zelda games as they look really goog.

I loved Destruction Derby 64 and...oh hang on, that wasn't made by Nintendo, nearly had me!
Apart from the above mentioned game it does seem like the one particular thing that the N64 is lacking (other than a good 3d beat-em-up, I mean a really good one)
