well, it's hardly amazing, but it looks ok, used the motion blur in the end, first time it ever worked, tis a good tool.

Not sure exactly, but i should imagine you can get that sort of effect if you play around with the 'Gradient Tool' - draw on the lines and then play around with the settings, and where you use it - so long as you set the layer to 'preserve transparancy' it should be ok.

As far as I can see, he's made 3 copies of the word "gamecube", centred one, and applied motion blur effects to the others - it seems to fade in to the middle, so he would have put the words at the edges and applied the effect to each layer except the one with gamecube in the centre.

That's probably wrong, but it's one way of doing it..

Not quite the same thing, Photoshop fades the text out, that looks like you drew some lines and faded them.

I tried using Fireworks but it ruins the rest of the image, can't have that happening, I could do it, but it would take a loooong time, copying the image and moving it along...*sigh* That Flash MX is good, have you tried it yet? theres quite a few tutorials out for it already.

Excuse my stupidity, but what text effect are you on about? You mean, the way that it all blurs? You could do that in Fireworks4, just using tweening. Not got Photoshop6 til tomorrow, so me wouldn't know.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Brilliant service.
Love it, love it, love it!
