Notice how really popular games get abbreviated in the gaming community? MGS, MGS2, FFVII, FFXIII, RE, RE2, GT2, GT2000, GTA2, TLR, C&C. In the future do you think games developers will play on this and name their games so that they CAN be abbreviated easily? Just a thought...
You are very true in saying this but leave games for a minute and thing of the new consoles that are coming up.
You complain about games having boring names PS2( very orginal)why could'nt Sony come up with a new name for their next console like Nintendo did altough Gamecube is not really the most attractive name it is original.
P.S the xbox is the coolest console name ever!

It's also easy to create a logo for a couple of letters like RE2, but if they had to use the whole words it'd take more imagination.
