Does anyone know where I can get a program to make icons? i've been looking for a while, and the programs i've found don't work properly, thanks.
favicon.ico, in any folder of your website. All pages below and in that folder will have the icon when saved to the favourites.

but apparently all you have to do it call your icon favico.ico and stick it in your Web Directory.

Yeah, that's worth having, don't see it used too much though, only on tutorial websites or websites with loads and loads of pages.
Smaller independant websites don't make use of this.
The thing I found with this was that it disapeared after a while, like if I restart my PC, it vanishs.

Make it in MS Paint ..and just save it as a .ico file.
You may have to surround the name in speach marks when saving it though, so if it doesn't work the firts time, try it again with speachmarks:
e.g. "MyIcon.ico" instead of MyIcon.ico
