Hi all. Well I took the plunge yesterday and bought an X-Box bundle from EB. I have had a PS2 for about 10 months now and have been happy with it, however I have been watching the impending arrival of X-Box closely and was getting more and more impressed by what I was seeing. I resisted the urge to pre-order one but this last week has been too much for me and yesterday my craving took over. I spent £450 on an X-Box, extra controller, Dvd remote, a s-video cable, Halo and DOA3. I have a friend who is buying my PS2 from me so that softened the blow financially. First thing that hit me is how heavy it was carrying it home, the missus could hardly lift the bag (I carried it really). I was like a little kid opening the packaging, I had seen it running in various stores over the last few weeks and was hoping for more of the same. Like everyone else on here I was not disapointed, Halo and DOA3 are awesome launch titles. If these are out now, imagine what games will be out in a years time when they have mastered the coding for it. I know that I have spent my money wisely as the X-Box will undoubtedly be the main console for years to come (that is just my opinion). When broadband comes online by the end of the year it will be a very exciting time, imagine playing online Hal and Unreal Championship, bring it on. By the way I am 29 years old, married and have owned just about every console going, but none has made me more excited than the X-Box. Well done Micrsoft, you have proved the doubters and cynics wrong, happy gaming people.

I'm 28, and couldn't agree more with that post! I still have my PS2 for those exclusives, but I couldn't help but be drawn towards the power of the XBox! My PS2 will certainly gather dust for a while!!

Enjoy your purchase, I know I will!!

Excellent decision of purchase mate. ;-) Glad to see your enjoying your new X-Box. I love mine. :-))
Its hard to drag myself away from it to write on here and do other things !

Been looking at Blood Omen 2 in the mags. Think I'm gonna have to buy that. I saw the PS2 screenshots too and when you compare the 2 versions, the X-Box wins hands down.

Really want that Tekkie game to come out too - especially with the 3 panel controller thing. :-)
