seeing ron chopper harris flying in made me think whats happened to the agressive side of football. a couple of weeks ago andy cole got sent off for a so called stamp when all it was was a little tap on the bolton defenders knee. it seems nowadays you can get sent off for just about anything.
ok i dont want to go back to the seventies where you could batter a player and get away with it, but it would be nice to see a little more leniancy from the referees.
anybody agree?
It doesn't help when fools with all the self-control of a 6 year old *coughandycolecough* go around trying to hospitalise people whenever someone makes a dodgy tackle. Just a shame for him that he's w***ed away his chances of ever playing at international level again. Nobody to blame but himself.
Anyway, the main point, look at lower divisions and things are usually more physical. Then again, the tv argument is probably envolved again too.
> Football is crap. Period.
that wont make you too popular boblin.
If someone slid in and took you out, what you gonna do? Get up and walk off? I doubt it.
