This is a quote from Sega saying what Shenmue will have as extras. I love arcade games, and having them as extras in games are great.
DK64 did it recently as well, with a Donkey Kong and Ultimate Play The Game's Jetpac (If you don't know who UPTG are, you deserve a slap.)
I think the first ever game to do something like this was Day Of The Tentacle, you could play the original Maniac Mansion on the small computer.

On Legend Of The Mystical Ninja on the SNES you could play some old shoot em up. I think that it was Gradius.
Those early Namco Playstation games had stuff on the startup menu.
I believe there are other games with hidden mini games in too, but I can't remember what they are.
