If you don`t like endurance races, then I have a suggestion - Just pretend its a 10 race championship, and split up the laps. What I would do is simply pause the game after say 8 laps, go downstairs and get something to eat, possibly look at some work, or go outside, and then return and do another 8 laps. It worked fantastically, so I never got bored.
Metal Gear Solid 2 - Well, I`ve only played on the demo so far - 10-20 minutes if you go straight through on your first go. How much time have I spent using that demo total? Probably in excess of 10 hours. I have gone back to every single bit of the demo, and examined everything. The game will be the same - but far larger. There may be a load of cut scenes, but that is for the story aspect. There is still enough within the game to take up months of your life.
Final Fantasy 10 - Its all about the story with these games. Every FF I`ve played has kept me completely hooked from start to finish. I have NEVER got bored. Its almost as if I "become" the character. I truly care what happens to other people in the game. In Final Fantasy 7 for example, I looked after my chocobos as if they were pure gold (No joke here honest). Final Fantasy 10 is likely to be no different. Visually its also fantastic, so all thats left is the gameplay. The demo was admittedly a little slow and "guided" but what do you expect from a demo? The full game will live up to its true Final Fantasy heritage, and will therefore give you the freedom to explore your new world, and become a member of its commmunity.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion which is why I haven`t directly accused the other topic of being wrong, but I`m sure there are a lot of you out there who will have more in common with this topic than its negating counterpart.

I think he meant in all the time he has played on it, not in one big stint.
Metal Gear Solid 2 is a masterpiece. You only played the first party of the game, which I also consider the worst. It simply doesnt measure up to the rest of the game. It is more like an introduction to the game. The cut-scenes make the game look like an action-packed movie. They help the game flow and I always sat there with excitement waiting for the next one to start.
Final Fantasy 10 also looks like a superb addition to any games collection. The graphics are probably the best seen on any console and the gameplay is just good ol' Final Fantasy. It is amazing how Square can make every Final Fantasy so good that you just want to play it all the time. It involves you emotionally and I think that it mayu challenge MGS2 and GTA3 for PS2 supremacy.
So I cant possibly see how these games can be considered under-achievers. IN my view they are la creme-de-la-creme and I personally dont see any other console coming close to getting games such as the ones above.
