If the rumours going round the 'net are true, then Microsoft is to release a new style Xbox in the UK.
"The unit will be a retail version of the translucent green debug hardware that specialist press, developers and publishers already have access to, but which has hitherto been denied to Joe Public. The green console, which will also release with a special green version of Controller S, will be a welcome addition to the Xbox family."
The move is another prong in Microsofts publicity and advertising push in the lead up to Christmas.

Why couldn't they have given us this style to start off with? I like this new version, and would have much rather had it than the version we were given at launch.
What are your thoughts?
P.S Cheers Microsoft!
If it helps sell a few more consoles then its not bad is it ?

Yeah, but that's the kind of thing people do. They release a newer version as an incentive. Some people will buy both. It'll persuade that small demographic who only buy green consoles to shell out as well.

Thanks - May have to pick that up later!

Yep, saw it in the shops the other day. £24.99
And I still don't see why they couldn't have given us the choice from the start. The Xbox debug kit has always been that colour, so it's not as if it's a new thing.
