I've not been keeping up with Macromedia updates (my lack of Windows drive and even the inclination to boot one being the reason), so I know nothing about this.

So... dump everything you know about this here please :)

Or... "for X in `find /mind |grep FlashMX`; do; cat $X >> ~/FlashMX; done; xclip -i ~/FlashMX" and then middle-click.

Hmm... I really wish I could mount my mind over nfs, t'would be extremely useful ramble ramble ramble...

What are you talking about? 'nothings changed' ok, the layouts the same, but it's been like that since V.1.0
The differnces are so cool, it thinks for you, and makes everything so much easier and quiker, actionscripting for one, when typing the script in it brings scroll lists up..like predictive text.
Loads of interactive goodies, although I still have to find them, there are loads more options, I still wish it had more effects but i'm not too fussy.
'legal' copy eh? where from? i've still got my fingers crossed, I don't want the MX version to un*cough* Flash5 as I use that aswell...

Ah HA!! I've finally got it. My lovely clean "legal" version of Macromedias FlashMX and I'm proud to annouce that nothing has really changed - which is a good thing. It's basically just changed the layout to make things better for you and that's about it. Of course, there's all this nerd stuff in their about how they've increased the range of colours and blah blah blah, but apart from adding more possibilites on the actionscripting and better layout, it still remains the same.

Of course I can view Flash in Linux, it's just I hate going to MM.com because it slows down my PC. Also, MM.com are actually trying to sell it, so their opinion is worth less than Enron's shares. What do you guys and the industry think about it?

hhmm, it's actually 46mbs! I want to look at it now, but i'm late for college, gah!
theres quite a few good features about it, if you can, go vew the intro to it on www.macromedia.com it has details about all the new features, seems like this will be much more user friendly on Actionscripting and other items, they actually have templates for: Quizs, Photo Albums and Adverts, so it says.
Most of the items they show look quite good, although it doesn't describe them in much details, i'm downloading it now, hopefully i'll have enough time tonight to have a gander at it.
ciao.
