Alongside all the normal season and exhibition modes I'd like to see a career mode. You start off in F3000 and you have to show off your skills to F1 teams to get your break in the big time. Once in F1 you have to move up through the teams, racing and negotiating contracts to get yourself into a better team.
The main aim of course would be to win races and the championship. Not only will you earn normal points you will also earn skill points, media points and fan points. Skill points are awarded for good consistent driving and making very little mistakes. The higher your skill points the higher rated you are by team managers. Media points are awarded for making news with your driving. You will also get bad publicity for making mistakes. Team owners look for people who the media likes as it is good publicity for their sponsers. Fan points are awarded for driving spectacularly to please the fans. Obviously team managers want to have fan pleasing drivers to attract fans to their sponsers.
The main aim of these points is so that you still get something out of your driving even if the car breaks down.
Media points are also earnt by doing press conferences and saying the right thing. Press conferences will revolve around events which occured during the race.
Skill, media and fan points also are totalled up to unlock hidden things like extra tracks or bonus modes.
Driving will get proggressively harder as you move up the grid driving for different teams as the skill of the other cometitors increases up the grid.
