"Dumb stupid big xbox with it's X and big box arrrrrrrgghhhhhh"

I woke up this morning, the birds were singing, the sun was rising and I'd already had a good hour on my PS2 before I went to work. I popped the radio on and "the xbox, microsoft's killer console is released today, so and so has had his since midnight and will NOT be going into work today ha ha hoo ha hoo" next came some idiot who said his computer outdid the xbox hands down when he hasn't a clue of how much power windows uses in the background and the overall difference. Then went into work XBOX WOW 733Mhz, blah blah blah bling, nothing about the games, awkward controller or presentation just specs. I explained about the PS2 and the gamecube but NOOOO nothing can beat a Games' PC. so that was that and this was this I went into EB to look for pre-owned N64 titles and their all wearing XBOX shirts, like what the?? IS Bill paying you something? I wouldn't wear one if you paid ME!!!!

Then a big crowd round the Xbox and Halo and the PS2 all huddled in the corner with simpsons road rash racing or whatever, way to detour the crowd guys, then I aint finished I went into my local papershop and the xbox magazines all TWO of them have replaced the PS2 section. *** **** *** ** * ***** grrrrrr, I'm not a happy person :-(

oh well the only people interested in the Xbox are keen PC users and I bet over time when they realize it's not as flexible as a PC they'll leave it alone. flop xbox flop i hate it hate it I'z tell ya :-D

thats it, I'm digging into my clothes draw tonight and finding anything playstation or Nintendo releated and am GONA WALK PROUD :-) even the little Toad badge.

A lot of people do seem to think that the X-Box is going to be the best Next Gen console of it's time because of it's power, but when they find out that not many games creators are actually making games for it thn the people will see.

I think it has huge possabilies but aren't being used properly. People look at the ground-breaking graphics and prosume that the game will be great.

But games that have stunning graphics don't always have the gameplay to go with it.

Why?

Well it's simply because the people who create the games, concetrate more on graphics than actual gameplay. Becuase that's what sells. I hate to say it, but it does. A great game, is a great game, no matter how good it's graphics are

With all this going on. People will shell out their life savings to get an X-Box and a game which *looks* great, but sadly find out that the creators haven't looked beyond graphics.

I agree with you, Resi, except i don't mind the X-Box, just a lot of the games :-D

Microsoft have to do all this because they know on games alone no one will buy their overrated console

Ah, but what does that actually mean? Is Xbox not selling as well as was hoped, or have MS made sure that there is an abundance of machines available?

Remember that there were many 'cubes on shelves in Japan at launch. The only console so far to completely sell out at launch in every territory is... PS2.

And before you say "yes but Sony didn't make enough", there still wouldn't have been enough even if Sony had met their full production capacity.

I agree Game although you are like Resi and are one of many people who have dissapeared when i came back...

As a games machine, the X-Box geniunely sucks...

I'm sorry. But it's true.

It has the specs, the grpahics, the sound, the memory, the developers even - but it just isn't fun.

Well what made me laugh is that the bloke in my local games shop has done tonnes of Gamecube pre-orders and he said not everyone will get one day 1. Then i go in today and he has X-boxes on ther shelves and the GC is months away ho ho ho.
