It’s a story you see (but I suppose you won’t see) about me. Now, I know you are not interested in a story about me, so within the story are snippets of lyrics from various songs.
I know, I know It’s been done before and It’ll be said that I’ve copied , but what the hay, here it is and try to guess which songs are used.
Lazy Days
I was rudely awoken by the dustmen, I’m sure they do it on purpose to annoy me. Once I got out of bed, I put my trousers on, had a cup of tea and thought about leaving the house.
I soon changed my mind however. I couldn’t face going outside with all those houses bearing down on me.
As I was now staying at home, I turned on the lights, the TV and the radio. All that was on TV was war, I don’t like war. Could you imagine what impact a nuclear attack would have?
I shouted to my mother and asked her “Mother, do you think they’ll drop the bomb?” Mother reassured me and gave me my tablets, I don’t know why she makes me take them, is she trying to kill me? Well I don’t know but thankfully the drugs don’t work.
I was totally board at home there was just me, mother and the others at home. Well, that was until the postman came. Mother answered the door and signed for a parcel for me.
As I opened the parcel, there were thankfully no hang-ups and no surprises. Inside the parcel was the X-files box set, I hadn’t seen the x-files before but it was really good when I watched it, it was really true to life.
After watching the x-files, the others were playing up, I had no control. Mother came in and asked “Why so sad?” I said you know mother, there’s someone in my head but it’s not me.
To The End
and no surprises.
No Surprises by Radiohead
> Why so sad? Manics?
And where the hell is "the others were playing up, I
> had no control" from...
See I said nobody would see, I said nobody would like it. Grix is getting all frustrated now.
Not all the lyrics are in 'quote form' and vice versa. There are 8 lyric quotes within the story (including 2 song tiles), That is If my arithmetic is correct, which they probably isn't as my maths teacher didn't like and got me expelled from school.
And where the hell is "the others were playing up, I had no control" from...
Excellent. :0D Messa love Pink Floyd. Trying to remember what song it's from, I know it's Dark Side of the Moon, but can't quite remember... Not Brain Damage?
