How many online gaming communities are there? 2 , 5 , 10? However many there are they all try to offer the same experience - the best. I have played on The Zone, MPlayer , Heat and many others and they have all given me pleasure.
All of those were for PC though. What is going to happen when all these new internet consoles come out? Can you imagine the GameCube playing against the PS2 in a Quake 2 deathmatch? Or what about Microsofts X-Box gamers playing against the DreamCast? I personally can't wait until e-commerce comes into it...
What will happen when our consoles become consoles no more? Just imagine connecting to the internet, logging on to a web shop ( like reserve.co.uk), putting in your credit card details and with an ultra fast connection downloading the game to an empty cartridge! Just think about it! The only problem is all this seems familier... a PC! PC do all that now so if consoles incorperate operating systems I fear that there wont be consoles any more. What I'd like to see, and many others I talk to , is a Virtual Reality or Holo-suite console. The futuristic view of taking a console around , like a GameCube, which when turned on it would project an image like VR so your in the game! This can only happen to soon ...
