I got £300 for my birthday which one of the top consoles should I get my brother tells me I should Playstation 2 but the X Box is just out or wait for the Gamecube also could you help me on what games I should get I might get GTA3 but I know no games for the Gamecube or the X Box can you help me.

The gamecube is the cheapest of the lot. It has the biggest amount of games at launch ever. The PS2 has already established itself in the console race, seeing as it was the first of the next-gen consoles to come out. If you want, save up more money to get an xbox with a couple of games, but don't blame me when you do your back in trying to lift it! :P
Open a savings account at a bank and wait many moons until you have a lot more money and then buy the best console at that time.
