I don't have broadband, but boy do I want it. The prospect of playing on this fast unparralled gaming service has me drooling, and if you're a gamer thats not excited there's either something wrong with you or you simply havn't opened your mind enough to the possiblities.
Take a look at xbox.com, xboxLive is mentioned EVERYWHERE. Look at the xbox live launch party and think of how amazing it would have been to attend. Samual L. Jackson, one of the coolest actors around was there for Gods sake, suddenly making that white xbox hat look really cool somehow.
Look at the xboxLive page and think of how we all could be playing each other at all those games. Talking to each other in real time, using the buddy list feature, enjoying games in the best way, putting your skill up aginst another person who could be on the otherside of the world. Who cares if it doesn't takes off in the UK, or that broadband uptake is slow, its not relevant. The only thing that matters is that what could be the future of gaming as we know it is now reality.
One day, mabye not now, but in perhaps 5 years, the relevance of XboxLive will be so apparant. If somehow Xbox fails(which it hasn't) and if xboxLive isn't succesful(which it shouldn't) it doesn't really matter, the infrastructue of a huge gaming network is still in place. All future MS consoles will use this service.
So for those that are in the know and have the kit, XboxLive could be the start of something very very special. Be excited folks...

There is no actuall chat room say, but what I do is create a host only allowing my friends in using the settings.
