well of course its the release of the X-BOX, its a great contender for the run of the best console at the moment but somehow i think Sony will out do it becuase the games that have come out and that are going to come out are looking unreal! don't get me wrong the X-BOX looks great but where are the games to show of its true capability! Anyone else agree or disagree???

Having the X-Box released is a good thing for us PS2 owners. The reason I say this is because more developers will try and keep the PS2 popular by making some great games. This year already looks good for the PS2 with Final Fantay 10, Stuntman and MGS2 being a small selection of whats coming. I can't wait to see what will be released in a years time.
The X-BoX may or may not last, its down to Microsoft to do something that theyve never done before and thats specialise in Console and high tec game making. PS 2 has the experiance and ability to take on anything.
it will be a good war, however on the games front i think PS 2 ad GC will prevail, depending on whether X-BoX can develop something as good as MGS 2 and the Mario series

The x-box has been made to last 7-8 years.

The x-box has been made to last 7-8 years.

well the ps2 hasnt been out that long so you cant say that the X-box has a massive advantage in shelf life, shall we say
