Do you think its too soon for sony to put out a new console so early after the ps2 is released and not made enough games yet

It's only been two years since the PS2 came out, I don't even know why people are starting to talk of a release date for a PS3.

The PS2 has been out for a fair while, so I wouldn't say it's *that* soon. It also does have a huge number of games now, far more than the XBox and GC.
As things stand though, there is no reason to bring out a PS3. The PS2 is far outstripping the sales of XBox and GC combined - despite the high price and older technology. I would also say that it's too soon to expect that developers have mastered coding for the PS2 either, so it's games will continue to improve over the next few years, rather than stagnate.

since the PS2 was released 99/2000, and the PS3 is still 3-5 years away, I'd say no.
