That's right! On Friday I went down to my local SR store in Bristol and found a load of copies of Die Hard: Vendetta for the GameCube, and decided to go with that game instead of opting for Resident Evil and Turok Evolution at £45 together.

Bad descision? No frickin' way!!

Die Hard: Vendetta's been getting a lot of bad things said about it, and not enough about the good stuff.
I'll agree that the controls aren't too great, and a little too-sensitive to react to your finger movements and such, but I prefer Type C to A which works-out similalrly to that of Agent Under Fire, even if it still has it's few problems.
And if anything, the Auto-Aiming makes the games too-easy for picking-off your opponents, while with it turned-off you'll find it 'very-hard' to day the least.
Another thing that makes this game quite simple and easy-to-do is the "Hero Time" - which does work like Bullet Time. For a period of time the game will slow-down, and you'll get the chance to shoot each-and-everyone of them at your own pace. And I'll laugh at you if you get hit during Hero Time!

The gameplay has to be some of the best I have experienced in an FPS for quite-some-time now. Not only can you opt to sneak-around in Stealth mode rather than just blasting your way around, but you can also sneak-up behind enemies and grab-'em round the neck while holding a gun to their head - if you have one spare hand, anyway.
There are also some nice guns that can really makes them "bit the bullet". Pistols, bare-hands, crossbows, flame-throwers... and the dual Sub-Machine Guns - oh yes!! :D

So=far I haven't found the game to be too difficult, but that may just be because I'm on Die Hard mode, the easiest. But the slighest noise in the wrong place can set them all off.

The graphics are pretty smart too, but they aren't perhaps as-great-as they could be. Move-up close to a brick wall and you can see how well-detailed it all really is. There's no Bruce Willis, but others like Al are all there. I don't like the look of this new McClane though... He looks TOO old, and his face never seem to randomly explode with blood like it did in the films...

Great game, not-perfect controls.
The best First-Person Shooter I've played since the N64.
I honestly don't reckon TimeSplitters 2 can have a Single Played mode any-better-than this! Shame there's no multi-player options here though.
But if you want a multi-player Terrorist game then just go for CounterStrike on the PC and enjoy it with millions of other world-wide.

Maybe. I'm going to Moscow in about a months time. Plus, on the schedule we were down to go to a theatre. But, they're reconsidering and we might be going to see an Ice hockey match. Yay.

I can just picture them now, back in their terrorist hideouts saying 'Ice hockey match, 30th Dec., we strike!'

I imagine the game was pretty much done and dusted by that time.

I'm playing it on Die Hardest mode and am on the chinese cinema mission.
It's still really easy but it's well fun to just go through the levels and see which of the gang members will get shot if you take them hostage. I think there's loadsa replay value.

It's definitley worth it if you're looking for a great single player game that you can really enjoy throught the adventure, and it'll male you lagh at times too with those typical John McClane-style 'responses' to what is going-on around him at certain times.

Shame it's not Bruce Willis though. :(

I'm seriously considering this game - but there are so many things I want! As well as this game, I'm hoping for many others for the GameCube, a Wavebird, a few for my PS2 and some DVDs! Thank goodness Christmas and my birthday's coming up!
