I've been looking at this product. When you switch it from game (which I understand sends an RGB signal to the TV) to DVD, does it still send an RGB signal? Or is a standard signal sent in order to get around the green screen problem. What other alternative cables are there to ensure a top quality DVD picture, avoiding the green screen problem?

Thanks,.....

You are indeed correct.

When you set the switch to the 'game' setting, the signal is RGB and may I say the quality of the signal is excellent. Better than most alleged RGB cables around.

Then when you flip the switch to 'DVD' the signal is changed to composite (or as you put it, 'standard'), which means you don't get the green screen problem.

For the record I have one of these leads and would recommend it to anyone – by far the best I have ever used in terms of RGB signal quality, and the DVD functionality is a nice bonus. Not that I use this feature as I don’t use the PS2 for DVDs, but that is by the by.

As far as I know the only way to get around the green screen problem and still get a high quality RGB signal is to use DVD region X. I do and it works a treat.
