1. Gorgeous graphics, good storyline, interactive and large gameworld.
2. Generally not enough action.
3. The huge and atmospheric game environment.
4. The scale and execution of the idea.
5. Ryo Hazuki should have been able to instigate a fight when we, the players wanted to.

Streetfighter 2 SCE - megadrive
1. No dodgy sidestepping and few grapple moves. Simple beat em up, very well done
2. Vega's poncing around.
3. Excellent character variation and balance, good music.
4. Better
5. It set the standard. The best for years.
Power Stone 1 and 2
1. New take on beat emp ups with the 'free movement'
2. close combat was pretty poor

Tekken Numero 3 on PSX
1. That dinosaur character... and the Tekken ball mode...
2.umm... bit repetitive
3. The Streets of Rage style mode... Tekken Force was it?
4. Worse than Street Fighter because it pretended to be 3D but blatently wasn't... but was still kinda fun.
5. Some characters (glares at Eddie) were annoying and crap.
Streetfighter (Super SF II Turbo)
1. laughing at the stupid CPU players...
2. getting beaten by Ryu all the time (damn CPU)
3. funny special moves
4. nice cartoony look, so it's kinda funny... not as good now as it used to be but just as addictive. Can't say better or worse really...
5. KEN RULED!!!
Pokemon Red
1. hurting Pikachu... and it was a decent stat based RPG hidden behind a veil of monsters!
2. you should have had more influence over the fights... something more you could do, like in Paper Mario where you can hit a button to maximize damage etc...
3. the Experience points, revisiting areas with new skills, laughing at the name I gave my rival (you don't want to know!)
4. better in that it has more longeivity than most of the others, and its a more personal experience... you feel more attatched to the character.
5. err... my team kicks rear... even though I never play the game anymore.
Final Fantasy 7
1. great plot, some decent characters, and again, a stat based RPG.
2. hmmm... save points were sometimes in annoying places, so you couldn't get to a save point before you had to stop playing. And you could sometimes reach dead ends, where you got to a boss, but didn't really have the EXP to beat it. It really just depended on how long you spent exploring each location.
3. The way it made you hate Shinra, and at least TRIED to make you feel emotion (whether it succeeded or not is a personal matter)
4. It's better cos it has a decent plot, and has more depth than the rest of the games (except argualbly Pokemon...)
5. Why did that idiot Cloud keep having nervous breakdowns? It got pretty annoying! Oh, and Red RULED!
Final Fantasy 8
1. the plotline was okay, and some of the set pieces of the game were good (the two 'schools' fighting was an excellent part!)
2. Most of the game didn't draw you in enough, and nowhere near as much as FFVII. The battle and EXP system had some improvements, but overall I think it did more harm than good.
3. Again, some of the set pieces were ace, and the EXP system was pretty good, but took a hell of a lot of getting used to.
4. hmm... okay, but not that great and no where near up to the usual Square standard for RPGs...
5. Squall was really annoying, and most of the main characters did more to irritate than anything else... the game also took itself too seriously.
Bloody Roar 1
1. turning into funny animals
2. lack of depth (even by beat em up standards!)
3. all the different secret modes. The 1st person perspective and enemy perspective were especially interesting to give a go!
4. one of the worst, but fun for a bit.
5. The writing at the end explaining what happened to your character scrolled up WAY too fast to read it.
WWF games - NO MERCY on the N64
1. he he he... funny bashing people with stuff.
2. a bit repetitive.
3. special moves from the 'morale' meter of your character, and the different matches like ladder matches... oh, and breking enemies faces on the commentry table! And the career mode (even if it did keep wiping the damn thing!!!)
4. one of the better beat em ups, with quite a lot of depth, a variety of story modes, each with branching paths, and tons of ways to spend and earn cash.
5. The create a character was very amusing!
Tenchu 1
1. Stealthy approach to killing. Nice learning curve too.
2. Took a long while to get into it, and get the hang of it.
3. FINALLY learning to use the little 'warning' meter, and being able to get silent kills.
4. one of the better games here. Took lots of skill to beat successfully, and had some very cool fight scenes! The battle against that demonic Ninja guy on top of the HUGE castle springs to mind!
5. could have had a mid level save point for some of the longer levels... but not a 'save anywhere' system as that'd make it too easy.
Anyways, that's all of em. And where were all the Nintendo games eh? apart from Pokemon, where were they?

Tekken Tag Tournament
1. The speed of play mixed with brilliant graphics.
2. The longivety. Too easy to unlock new characters.
3. The multiplayer modes and the fact that the game remembers how much usage each character has had.
4. It is better than many other beat 'em ups because you can play it against virtually anyone, and still have a chance of winning.
5. Brilliant game.
Streetfighter 3 Alpha
1. Brilliant Retro feel.
2. Too much like previous versions.
3. The multiplayer mode.
4. It is better as it has more characters and better arenas than previous UK versions.
5. It's too much like the SNES version.
Pokemon (blue, red, gold, silver)
1. The fact that you can train to be the best, or be a hopeless loser depending on your thinking.
2. The fact that anyone with a cheat cartridge can easily boost stats.
3. Colloseum battle mode.
4. Pokémon games are brilliant because they engross you for hours on end whilst you try to catch every last one!
5. It's brilliant that you can fight in 3D on the N64

-Brilliant for a 2 player, and I also liked smashing up a car in the Bonus Round.
4. Why is this game better or worse than the others
-It was better cuz it was the only decent fighter at the time. Worse cuz it's now looking quite old.

-You can never forget the Street Fighter series, and the first few were brilliant! But when it came to Alpha and co., it just became boring and cack.

-It's probably the best ever beat-'em-up on the SNES, and some of the characters were amazing - and their moves!
