It depends which way you look at it really. Sometimes computers are always right, but most times they're not. Most people can relate this with PCs especially, in other words MICROSOFT. Just the simple attempt to try and load certain files up can cause the occurance of error messages. Is there any need for this? This is definitely the best example of computers being "THICK", and mucking up.
In this day and age computers shouldn't really be at fault, but sadly to say ..they are! Consoles are very fragile and precious things and to break one can cause terrible anguish to a gamer, I should know. I didn't actually break it myself, it sort of broke itself, and this made me even more angry. I'm talking about the Playstation. I left it to gather dust for quite a long while after the PS2 was released and one day I decided to have a quick go on Tenchu. I tried and tried, but I had no luck loading up any of my games. I hadn't bashed it or anything like that, but I think "age" broke it. Why though? Aren't consoles supposed to last "'til fury do us part"? Not "'til age do us part"! There is obviously something wrong there.
Another thing; have you ever felt that you're been cheated on by a game? If you're not sure, it's when the game gets ridiculously hard in an instant just so it can count for that extra bit of longevity. It's happened to me plenty of times especially when fighting against bosses. Sometimes they fight fairly and do all the normal attacks they're supposed to do and other times they completely go off the richter scale coming out with things you never thought were possible. Is this all down to bad programming or what I call "Spontanious Corruption" (where the computer has some kind of mechanic spasm causing it to do weird things).
The customer may always be right but computers certainly aren't. Too many times I have become a victim of bad hiccups from computers and it's about time I got my own back on them...and once I've found out how, I'll let you know. But the day WILL come when computers will no longer need to pop up error messages or conjur uncanny incidents on our screens.
Until then ...
