"Couldn't find a Geforce based display adapter or the Detonater driver settings. Blah blah blah."
I also get crashes in 3dmark2001 and Games and stuff.
I don't think it is the fact that the drivers are beta, because i have used them before no probs, could it be the fact that in places the PC still thinks i'm using the Radeon? Or something like that. Any help would be much appreciated so this annoying problem can be removed from my PC forever. Cheers.
1)Uninstall all Drivers, restart 2)Install drivers as "Standard PCI graphics adapter", restart 3)Install new drivers and restart.
But when i tried step 3 windows gave me all this bs about files missing "nv.aml was not found blah blah blah." In the end i just skipped this one file and the drivers installed fine.
I checked where you said and everything is displayed correctly, as "Geforce 2MX/MX400". There is no radeon.
This would have been easiest when you still had the radeon in but never mind..
Right click on your My Documents icon and go to the device manager tab. Scroll down to Video Adapters and click on each of the cards shown and click remove. Restart the PC and reinstall all the drivers from scratch.
If this doesnt work, see if you can get the radeon back, then plug it in and do the above. When you restart though, put the GeForce 2 in instead.
