Imagine the new WWE Smackdown wrestling game had the capability of going online. Then not only would single player be good but you could play online and download updates. You wouldn't need to buy another wrestling game again.
Online Play
The main thing you would do when using this online feature is grapple against your friends (or strangers) online. This would offer hours of multiplayer enjoyment. Not only fighting one on one but having tag ladder matches and Hell in a cell matches would be quite supreme. A new feature when going online is the ability to interupt matches. If there is a game started without an interupt lock on, then you just enter, pick your wrestler and you would appear at the top of the ramp. But I think the best match to have online would obviously be a royal rumble. Simply go on to the royal rumble section, start a new game and wait for 29 others. When all participants are ready and have picked their wrestlers, (no-one can go the same wrestler) the game starts and the wrestlers are drawn randomly.
Another good option would be to start an online career mode. The beauty about the career mode is that even if someone wins the title, it would never finish because someone else could challenge you to a shot at the title. Imagine someone asked you to a shot at your title with his created wrestler, and because your so good you accept. But what you don't know is that the person has told his friend, who has also a created wrestler (which happens to be his tag team partner) to interfere and help him win. That too would be good.
If you felt you were brilliant at the game then you could enter the world championships. This would be a knock out tornament, meaning that you had to win every bout. The final would be a one on one with all weapon turned off and the referee controled by an online offical so there would be no cheating and the fight would be fair.

The annoying thing about Wrestling games is that no sooner have you purchased it, a new wrestler arrives or a new stoyline is created. This takes away the pleasure from some aspects of the game especially when a cool new wrestler comes into the WWE and you cant make him on create a wrestler. Well with the online feature you can download updates onto your memory card. If a new wrestler enters the WWE then you could easily download it. Also if a new match type like the elimination chamber is created, then you could download this as well. And if a wrestler changes his gimmick or goes from good guy to bad guy then you can download music and titantrons. Another great update feature would be to download graphical improvements and patches which fix them unwanted glitches in the game. You could also download other peoples Create A Wrestlers. If you prefer to fight as your favourite adventure hero, then you could just download him.
