GREAT NEWS.....

Nintendo have recently announced that SQUARE are producing games for Nintendo again, and it's offical.

Nintendo have also announced that a Final Fantasy title will be released on the CUBe and GBA by the end of the year! I can see this using the GBA link up system.

Final Fantasy is coming back home to nintendo which should help sales in Japan!

All of the rumours seem to point at FFXI coming to Gamecube, and helping to launch Nintendo's online network. Square have said all along that they want this game to be multi-format, so it's highly likely.

If FFXI and PSO can sell Nintendo as an online machine they can start to include online options in their own games with the network already proven as popular.

Could this be the push for online gaming Nintendo need for Perfect Dark, Mario Kart and the like?

Maybe, maybe not.

Still, more RPG's will be welcome, I just hope we get a new Crono game, I loved Crono Trigger.

I think Square are remaking FF7 with better graohics and releasing that on PS2, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that comming to Gamecube at some point. But as Nintendo are funding Square to make the FF game for Gamecube, then I think it's more than likely going to be a new FF adventure!

That is v. good news! Anyone know if Xbox is getting a Final Fantasy title though?

It would be good if they made one Nintendo exclusive, but brought some of the PS2 FF games over to GC as well.

Hopefully it'll fill the RPG gap in the market quickly, as N64 never really got any big RPGs that were the 'true' RPGs (you know what I mean!)

Anyway I doubt they'll re release any old FF games as each has different stories and characters, adn teh only constant is there is usually a character name Sid (or Cid) and usually those Chocobo characters somewhere in there! But I wouldn't say no to a re-release of FFVII on the GC with improved graphics as that was an AWESOME game one of the greatest RPGs ever, even if it was a bit annoying in places... Still, it was damn good, and probably still the best in the FF series...

This is REALLY good news!

A mate of mine told me about it at a games tournament I was at today, but I've just been able to get back and check it out for myself!

WAHOOOO!

Final Fantasy on Gamecube and GBA!

The FF series is BRILLIANT! And it will give people who weren't going to get a GC because it didn't have FF, a reason to buy the console!

I hope that they also bring the Chrono series over aswell. I loved Chrono Trigger on the SNES, and Chrono Cross on the PS!

I'm well happy!

That's good news, even though I don't like Final Fantasy games it's still good news for the Cube.

Anyway enough of the turn based nonsense, have you seen that pic of the Blue GC? I want me one of those.

I think it would be a great Idea to start a new saga too. It would bring in more people to sample the cube and hopefully purchase one.

It states that nintendo will help fund it themselves do I don't know if this means that they will have input into the story line or what have you? What difference does funding it have?

There may be a port of FFX when it comes out, but I think we will see a new Saga being created, which is basically what happens in every FF game (different characters, weapons, storyline etc.).

I can see maybe other final fantasy games, that appeared on the SNES, popping up on the GBA too.

Only time will tell

Greaet News...all we need now from PS2 is MGS2 and GTA3, lol!

Yeah that's great news!
But I hope we get a GameCube exclsuive FF title, and not one that follows on as the XIth/XIIth game in the series.
And I don't think it would be a good idea to do a 'Resi' and add the whole series to the Cube just so we'll all know how the series goes!
