The third full length from Pennywise, and the final to feature the talents of member Jason Matthew Thirsk, before his tragic death.
Perhaps even more strongly than that fact is that many songs on this album have a theme of living your life, not wasting it, and the album cover depicts a bomb counting down, as our lives are always counting down. Still, this album is an awesome album, one of my favourites from Pennywise. For me, the standout tracks are 'Peaceful Day', Perfect People', 'Searching', and 'Same Old Story'. Each track is great though, and the themes touched on in this album are very diverse. From getting on with your life, to being your own person and not letting others dictate who you should be, to drugs, to feeling like you're letting someone down. Each song has a meaning in it, and that is what makes Pennywise such a great band. They don't make pointless songs, each has a meaning and purpose.
If you're a fan of Pennywise, this is essential. If you're not a fan, this is as good a place to start as any. And if you don't like Pennywise, what is wrong with you? :D
'On July 29th, Jason Thirsk, the original bass player, songwriter & founding member of Pennywise died of what is considered to be a self-inflicted accidental gunshot wound. Although he was not performing with the band recently, his spirit was always with us & we hoped for him to return to the line-up soon. Jason's positive & uplifiting lyrics are what defined our band, and attracted fans to Pennywise all over the world. We loved him very much & he will be greatly missed.'
How the hell can you have a self-inflicted accidental gunshot wound? Anyway, that was interesting.
