I love to read. My favourite author is Michael Crichton. I've read Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Sphere, Congo, Disclosure, Eaters of the Dead and The Terminal Man, and I'm currently reading Timeline. Ever since I started reading the novels by Michael Crichton (back in 1997), I've yearned to write my own science fiction "novel". It's my calling in life.

It suddenly occured to me yesterday that I haven't yet started writing my own masterpiece.

Does anyone have any particular "topics" to do with science fiction, that they're particularly interested in? I'd like to know, just so I could have a broad idea of what I should, and will, write.

Thanks. :)

It's you. You know it to be true.

Actually, I DO have a beard! No joke! Ask Edgy if you don't believe me! And as for Lord of the Rings....hmmmmm, it'll be a while before I read that. Too much Michael Crichton books to get through. :)

After, say, a few weeks. I'll count up the replies and see what the most popular idea is.

Science fiction topics?

Space Exploration
Alien Invasions
The future
Pinnochio
Government Conspiracies about the real truth

Watch Star Trek, X-files and Quantum Leap :) You'll get loads of ideas there.
