Big problems with some Unofficial magazines is the fact that they have what looks like a demo with big words stating
'OVER 90 MINUTES OF GAMING'
So you buy the magazine and get it home and read more about it. there are no playable demos, just crappy videos on games that have been out for over a month. WHO WANTS VIDEOS? We want playable demos to try out the latest games and decide if we want to purchase it but all we get are these endless boring videos. And yet they still charge you £3.99 for the privilege.

Another thing i hate about unofficial magazines is if they are not giving out demos that con you, it's giving out their cheat handbooks. I must admit they can be helpful but when they are the same cheats over and over again in every issue, it gets annoying. And even if they are not repeated over and over again, they are usually cheats for old games that have been out god knows how long. And yet they still charge you £3.99 for the privilege.

and what about the playstation one magazines. The psone is dead and buryed. Why? Because developers aern't bothering to bring out any decent games for it anymore. They've all made the wise decision to move onwards to ps2 or other consoles. So why have magazines continue to offer playable demos when they are of old games that have been out since the playstation's launch. And yet they still charge you £3.99 for the privilege.

Finally i'll go on about unofficial Gamecube and X-box magazines. i understand that a new console is coming out so they are using this for a excuse to make a magazine. No problem. But i started releasing their magazines in 2001.
Why review games that aren't out for several months or in Gamecubes case, half a year. And yet they still charge you £3.99 for the privilege.

Sorry i had a moan but I hardly have any money without them ripping me off.

Get NGC or Cube... alot better than PS unofficial mags... no demos to worry about!

It's simple - if you don't like the magazine, then don't buy it! Slagging them off isn't going to change anything, is it? Unless you send a letter of complaint, of course :0)

He did spell it right, but those 'I's do need changing....

Gah!

Yup, you're right, spelt it correct each time.

I must have just read it mis-spelt, my apologies.

Ah, but the repeated use of the phrase "And yet they still charge you £3.99 for the privilege" was for literary effect.

And he spelt it right each time.

He didn't capitalise all his I's though. Would you like to moan at him about that instead? ;)

Seems you have an addiction to the word "privilege" (which you spelt about 4 different ways...).

Why are they still producing PSX mags with old demos on? Because the PSOne is still for sale. People are still buying it as it's now really cheap. And they will want to know what games to get.

As for some magazines having cheats for old games, what's the point in having cheats for a brand new game? Surely people don't buy a game, and then cheat straight away?

People play the game for a bit, and then get stuck and need the cheat a while after they bought the game. Also, a game sells the majority of it's copies after launch (obviously), so they wait until more people have the game, and more people will want the cheat.

Not many people will want cheats for MGS2 already, for example.

Anyway, if they annoy that much DON'T BUY THE MAGAZINE, they're not forcing you to buy it, so what's the problem?
