News Monkey yet again supplies us with interesting news:

'According to a recent UK survey, that's the break down of what we use our work e-mail accounts for!

More than half of the e-mails that pass through corporate e-mail gateways are nothing to do with business! That's quite a few people blagging their way through the day! The survey found that most common are personal e-mails, or the dreaded 'chain mails', this alone accounts for 54% of all business e-mail sent! Next up is our old friend porn, apparently 7% of all the mail sent from work contain some rather naughty material. Hmmm, thought that one would be much higher actually! Finally we come to the really worrying fact, 1.4% of e-mails contain material that is considered illegal, this is stuff that would land you company in court if your were ever found out.

The survey was undertaken by security software and services consultancy Peapod as a way of educating employers about the dangers of staff e-mails. At the end of the day, if an employee is caught sending illegal material, the blame will rest with the employer!

So next time you move your pointer to the 'send now' button, just make sure what you're sending isn't going to land your company in court and you with a P45!!'

LOL!

I don't get any porn anymore, seems to have stopped, and illegal? no way... + what happened to the other percentage, seems like you missed quite a big chunk out there, maybe it's business, but then.....I would have thought that woul be the bigger percentage...anyway..
