Like AliBoy, I have posted this idea here to get more feedback from the people who know! Enjoy! :)

2 of the more recent Simpsons games (Wrestling and Road Rage) have been fairly dissapoining to us gamers and Simpsons fan, when compared to what we'd expect from a game based on a popular TV series loved by everyone worldwide.
What we wanna see is something that mixes humour with action and excitement, while aslo providing longevity and something you can do with your mates - for the ideal game! And of course, it must feature the whole cast of Springfield and I think all this and maybe more would be included in this, my idea for a Simpsons game, The Simpsons Halloween Special!!

Some of the early Simpsons games, found in arcades and on the NES were titled something like 'Bart vs. the Mutant Space Aliens', and they were games which would be enjoyed by everyone for hours on end.
What we need is something like this, that was full of action and excitement. I've based my idea on a selection of stories from the series on Halloween Specials.

I think the game would start off with the frog-faced French sending that giant rocket to Springfield, having it collide with the grumbling Comic Book Guy, in a superbly animated early cut-scene. Like in the cartoon, Homer would be the only survivor, and would be found dancing around naked in the Church - perhaps not the most pleasant of cut scenes to watch :S ! Then the game would begin.
And Homer, armed with a shot gun he found in the church, would have to make it back home all the way through Springfield. But he'd have to make it all the way on foot, unless he accidentally stumbles across one of Snakes' stolen cars abandonned down an ally way.

If Homer makes it home to safety, his survivng familly would kill off the remaning zombies with shotguns, in a cut-scene, just like in the cartoon.
Then Homer would rush to his garage, to finnish repairing the broken toaster, so he could go back in time and stop the bomb from being sent. And you'd probablty also get some Homer-humour wondering why it's a bad thing when Ned Flanders is being eaten as he speaks!
Once back in time, while armed with a baseball bat, Homer will have to hit and destroy certain creatures in the Prehistoric - bonus game-style. But if he fails to hit all targets, then he returns to the present with a new situation, eg. Dolphins run the world and you have to regain control using all members of the Simpson familly for their individual strengths.

But if Homer succeeds, and does return back to normal time, the game is complete. And all he'll have to worry about then is getting some beer and chips from the Kwik-E-Mart and watching TV.
But that just isn't something that comes along as easy as it may sound! After all, it is HOMER SIMPSON who's fixing the toaster, and not Stephen Hawking!! Homer does time-travel again, but this time into the future, where everything is all 3D and wierd, showing the true graphical capabillities of the console. In this 3D world, Homer must find a way out, due to the help of Proffesser Frink who followed him through time.
Homer is then re-united with his familly, and they end up in the real world, where people have 4 fingers and 1 thumb!!
Here you have the choice to take control of any of the 5 Simpson members, when you must act as a GTA3-style fugitive, hiding from the police. Find Krusty, who's also strangely lost in this dimension, and his pie-throwing abillities should help you progress to the next stage.

Suddenly, Homer wakes up and realises that it was all just a crazy dream! And that he is also asleep outside at night with his head in the Dog House! He awakens, only to find that he and the rest of his familly have been abducted by aliens!! And for some reason, Flanders is also among them - "D'oh!!" says Homer!
You then find you are taken to an alien planet, where your aim is to get home after escaping from the evil aliens clutches. With any charcter you like, you must battle against the strange creatures using their own weapons - laser guns!!! Then find the UFO, and fly back to Earth Lylat Wars-style, as you're now on the run from Kotos and co.

Once back in good old Springfield, the bomb has been launched from France and is on it's way - so Homer wasn't just dreaming after-all! The bomb arrives and hits Homer on the head, but it does not explode!! Insteadm it just bounces off, and heads towards the aliens' planet!
If you haven't guessed it that is the end of the game, as Homer is treated by Dr. Hibbert in Sprigfield Hospital.
"Bed goes up, bed goes down..."
It's the easy life for someone who's just saved the world!

So what do you think of my idea???
Does it make any sense, or does it just seem like something that'd come straight from Homer's head??

Multiplayer modes could include the Prehistoric bonus-game, the Lylat Wars-style space shooter, and Planet of the Aliens. Where you could play as any Springfield character!
There could also be a drinking contest at Moe's to win more money!!

Is this Conker's Bad Fur Day, but more????

Great idea, now all we need is a developer who can pull it off. Talking of the comparison with Conkers BFD, how about Rare?
