But really, are videogame creator's and videogame companies really to blame? No! Of course not. We see a movie today filled with violence, sex, obscene language etc.....but, we have a rating system to lure kids away from watching it. Same goes for videogames.
The media, the parents and the victims of videogame related violence blame everything on games these days. Please don't get me wrong. I was shocked about the increasing issue of gun violence in American schools. If a videogame causes kids to go on a rampage, why doesn't anyone else? or even I myself? (Playing since mid 80's).
Because most of us who don't are mature enough to know the difference between right and wrong, reality and the consequences. We play videogames to be entertained or relieve our stress from work. Videogames carry the rating system just as same as the movies. But movies you could sneak into, Videogames you can't, unless it was sold to kids by a salesperson at a store. You with me? So let's focus on preventing younger kids from playing more "adult theme" games.
