Just wondering if anyone has been able to set up a database on freeola. If not, do you know of any plans to allow databases such as access or SQL to be enabled?

try out the scripts from www.ezscriting.com, searchcsv allows you to place a csv database on your site and search it using a simple form. Others allow reading & writing to the csv.

have a look at www.sounds-superior.com in the playlist section, this is a site (hosted on freeola) I have designed for a m8 and uses searchcsv.

Can support tell us if MySQL (or similar) is going to become available - it would be a great help rather than having to rely on flat files. A friend said that it appeared to be on the server but didnt know if it was possible to use.

CJH, I've got a database on my site at www.brisca.f1drivers.com but it doesn't use Access or SQL. It's a javascript that reads a flat text file. Works great! See the ASP discussion thread for other comments on databases.
