Deity
Deity is played as a Role-Playing-game with a Space combat element. An evil god has entrapped the divine being responsible for protecting your planet. Your aim is to travel from planet to planet gaining knowledge to use as a weapon to destroy the evil god, once this is achieved you save your divine being from his containment.
To travel to a planet you are given a spaceship from your god. During your space journeys you encounter space bandits that you have to fight. When an enemy is defeated you can use an ability your supreme leader has given you to 'absorb' information from their dead bodies. When you arrive at a planet you have to talk to important people to gain special attributes that they posses (such as a special agent to gain infiltration techniques and a martial arts expert for fighting skills) and if they do not give them to you they have to be gained in a fight. At the end of each level you must fight the planets leader to gain ultimate wisdom from that planet.
When all knowledge is gained you become an oracle you must use your wisdom to fight and ultimately defeat the evil being that has overtaken your planet and imprisoned your god. When the evil is defeated, your god is freed and a FMV sequence is used to explain that your ordeal was really a test and it was training for you to become a deity and you god's successor, as he is to proceed to unimaginable happiness. The end sequence is your initiation as a god.
