I was after a scart cable so I searched it up under the xbox label and it came up with the official scart cable for £20 and one with a av block and scart with it for £9.99 which one should I get???
Ever since the first scart cables for the Megadrive one thing has held true - any lead that costs 1/2 the price of the official one will be half as good.
When you consider that the humble scart cable affects how you will see every game, and Xbox live, on your tv, then £20 is a relatively small price to pay for it.
With cables, as in most things, you get what you pay for, plus official leads always hold a high second hand price as well.

They both feature the a/v block - its the black box in the middle of the cable with three outputs (red, white and yellow). The red and white are for left and right audio, which you can connect to a hi-fi. The yellow is for a composite video signal - the same used on the original XBOX cable that came with the console.
The official cable will probably have a slightly better picture, and it also features another output (optical) for 5.1 surround sound. You need to buy the optical cable as well though to use this feature. If you dont need the 5.1, the unoffical scart cable should be fine at half the price.
