He has deemed it unchippable

I think I have heard something along these lines but I think it is just a rumour to stop people opening them and damaging them. I know you can open them, I have been doing research for my project at uni about the x-box compared to another console and I know that people have overclocked the processors and changed the cooling system to a water cooling system (all in the US).

To be fair, I think I heard that too. But it would be very expensive for Microsoft. Suppose the fan packs up and it starts to over-heat... they couldn't repair it without causing more damage. It's a nice idea... but not very practical.

Yeah, we're all agreed on that one now.
"What's 1 million to a man who has 28 BILLION of his own money, not including assets etc. I think he can afford it."
I see you know a little business studies there.
if he gives 1 mil away he will still have over 28 billion
curses
"Apparently they are losing £500 for each XBox sold, but that figure may not be 100% correct."
good, the Xbox is not to my liking
"Fish-e, I think what I said about the mainboard breaking is true, but as I haven't tried it myself, I'm not 100% on that."
Well when your friend gets one try it :P i dare you
Seriously though, I swear I read somewhere that if you opened the case normally, ie take the screws out etc, the mainboard was designed to break to help stop chipping.
Perhaps that idea never got implemented, or maybe they broke the case to take those photo's, which most people wouldn't do just to get their console chipped.
