Randall, was the name of a character in Golvelius, a Sega Master System RPG.

I think he used to revive your energy, for a small fee.

Randall is a funny name, I knew a chef called Randy when I worked in the Rimrock Resort Hotel, and he was a gimp.

Anyway, for some reason the word/name 'Randall' stuck with me, and I know use it instead of the similar sounding word 'Random', because I'm like that.

When asked which character I want to be, for instance, I'll say "Randall", and they'll think there's a character named that, when I just mean any random character.

Anyway, have you adopted and adapted any words for reasons that make little sense, and would you like to share the story?

I've got loads of these, but all of them elude me right now.

On WWF No Mercy, there was a move called Flurry, which I then renamed McFlurry. But thats the wrong way round, I guess.

For some reason, I say 'excellent' and 'cool' a lot more than I used to. Maybe it is because I am both 'excellent' and 'cool'?

I wouldn't call it irreversable damage. Just, erm, life-changing.

Definitely.

"That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." is another sentance that I like to use, taken straight from Sam and Max... and of course "All your base are belong to us", which I even spotted Goatboy using in that topic he made.

Is this thread proof that games cause us irreversible damage?

When someone does something bad to me, I always say "Revenge!" in a Wormesque manner. It's part of my normal vocabulary now. I can't say it without putting on a silly voice anymore.

Oh yeah, FM just reminded me. The icecreams in McDonalds, McFlurrys, are now known as something else. You basically just change the two initials around, so Flurry changes into Murray, and yeah.

Since playing Link's Awakening the word Catfish has always been followed by the word Maw.

The bit with the catfish on Conker is refered to as the catfishes Maw bit.

When I worked on BT's 150 we used to say something really naughty instead of "Thank you" when on the phone to customers. If you can guess what it is, and say it quickly, it sounds exactly the same :-)

Oh, and I'm trying to make myself adopt the word "moist" as a subsitute for "most" because I think that rules.

Moist definitely.
