1.Alien/Resident Evil.
The beginning of a new era. They both set the scene for dramatic changes in the industries around them. They both set the scene, showed new heroes and villains and above all showed new levels of unimaginable terror. These two ground breaking items cleared a path for sequels, but that's when the problems began.
2.Aliens/Resident Evil 2.
Worthy sequels but nowhere near as good as the originals. They replaced fear with hoards of insatiable enemies who wouldnt stop, even under heavy gunfire. The plots were also good but unfortunately predictable because you knew that all those people were not going to survive or it wouldnt have been interesting. These sequels charted an unfortunate down hill trip from now on.
3.Alien3/Resident Evil Nemesis.
Nothing but poor, predictable, boring, trash which was not scary in the slightest. The game was far too short with little replay value and the film was equally poor and made the fans believe that that was the end of an era but a few years later it was back and nothing much had changed.
Alien Resurrection/Resident Evil:Code Veronica X
They were back with better technology and had the crowds believing that it was a dramatic change from the previous episodes but as we were to find it was a lie. The new technology was just a cover up for some money making. The film was predictable again. I mean what were they thinking? No the xenomorphs wont escape. Of course they would or the film would have come to a abrupt end. And the game. Predictable storyline and game play. They could have added something new, but they kept it the same and thats what the problem is. WE NEED CHANGE! Something new to wet our appitites and scare the pants of us. But unless the film makers and game designers listen to our comments, all the sequels will remain the same and the fan bases will dispand. If you agree post your messages and make your voice heard. Fight the power!
