Shigsy, as you may well know, is what the owner of Nintendo "likes" to be called. I am calling him it however, as I dont know how to type his real name. I know that if I wrote a letter to one of the most respected and richest men in the gaming world, it would never reach him. So what better place to write to him than on an unofficial forum where he will never see it!

Dear Shigsy,

I would like to request a few answers. Firstly, why do you insist on making empty promises? In the official Nintendo magazine, before the gamecube was launched, I read an article saying that you were going to endorse demo disks for the gamecube and that was art of the reason you were switching to disks. I have waited almost a year and no! still no sign of demo disks on the horizon. Was it a marketing feature or did you just forget?

Secondly, why are you doing a 'Sony' and giving liscencing rights out to terrible no-namer developers. Less than 12 months after the launch I see games I would expect to see only for the dreamcast after they went bankrupt. Namely "Mary kate and Ashelys sweet 16" ... Shigsy I am disappointed with you. I owned an N64 and was happy that less agmes were released than on playstation becase the games released were a higher quality.

Thirdly, where is the originality? Where is the flair that makes Nintendo, Nintendo? I have seen a few sparks with Pikmin and Mario Sunshine, but there hasnt been a "Goldeneye" or "Zelda:Ocarina of time" equivalent yet.

I know that the views of one person dont matter to a big company but if you listen to the smaller, 'less important' people, this will get better on a bigger scale.

Yours Sincerely
Kyz22

P.S. Can I have a free Gamecube? Ah go on...

The above is exactly what I would like Shigsy to read and to take heed of my viewpoint. Perhaps making Nintendo more of a 'people' company.

I know my use of 'quoatation marks' is a little 'extreme' here, just ignore them.

Thanks for reading, that is, if you bothered and didnt just scroll to the end...you did, didnt you...?

I mentioned Pikmin thought. Eternal darkness is original but the format is generic. The storyline isnt as strong as I had hoped for either.

Give 'em time, it's only been out 8 months. Eternal Darkness and Pikmin are practically over flowing with originality though.
