I remember someone on these forums who got hold of the import said it was aload of rubbish and blamed the media or something along those levels, catch my drift yet? The original was a movie like experience with a game style which really hadn’t come about on the PS and it did remarkably well. There were some major flaws though, the first person view was a complete waste of time because you couldn’t move while using it and the “peek” round the corner again in first person mode was never used because while'st he had his back to the wall you could see round the corner anyway so why get caught? The camera was always face down so you couldn’t see guards in front of you, the unskipable codecs were the worst, the length and the controller port switching arrgghh need I go on??
On the other hand Metal Gear Solid is easily one of the most polished PS1 games around and I bet the PS2 sequel really pushes the ps2 hardware so my point?? There’s a lot of simple minded brainwashed dimwits going to buy Metal Gear Solid 2 BECAUSE of the hype and there’s no doubt going to be dissing soon after it's release because it’s not THE perfect life changing title they believe it to be, so if you know what it’s metal gear’s about, played the demo or whatever I’m sure like me you can’t wait to get your hands on it but for all the rest who’ll complain about it not living up to hype etc shut ya cake holes and let others enjoy it :-D
thankyou :-)
