I've noticed a lot of posts on here recently about how good said actor/ress is. Which is fair enough, nothing wrong with that.

But I'm just wondering, all you people who write about how crap an actor is, or how good they are, have you actually done any acting yourself?

Just curious.

Surely thats not the same thing. I've never made a film, I've watched many and I've been in plays and such.
So I feel I could comment on actors with some slight knowledge. I don't, however, claim that I could have made a better film than the one I just failed to enjoy.

Reviews of games are purely taken from the gamers point of view. Their opinion of the game, what they liked/ disliked. How it compares to other games and so on.

Reviewing a film is just the same.

Commenting on an actors ability a whole other fish containing kettle.

Good point.

But you must remember that most games reviewers (as well as people on here) have been playing games for many years.

In the same way as people who have been watching films for many years.

But I still maintain that, whether good or bad, if you've ever been in a film, or made a game, your outlook when next reviewing WOULD be different.

Because I feel that if people have done some acting themselves, their opinions of actors/resses that they have now, would probably be different.

You can never really judge someones ability at something, until you've tried it yourself, someone once told me. And I feel that is true.

It's like commentators. The best commentators are ones that have either done the sport themeselves, or been around the sport for their whole life.

I just think that people may have a different perception if they'd actually tried it themselves, that's all.

I've been the star in a few home made movies. But we won't go into that.

No, but we can recognize what a good actor is, through watching a lot of films.

I am delighted.
Brilliant! As usual the careful and intuitive production that Freeola puts into everything it sets out to do. I am delighted.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
