100 hours is a hack of a long time.

That's like, over 4 days.

Miyamoto recently said that Star Fox Adventures could take some gamers over 100 hours to fully complete it.

Bloody hell, talk about epic!

All we need to here now is that a multiplayer mode is being thrown in. 4 player co-op flying missions, huge 'zelda-esque' battles with friends as enemies.

Nah, surely I'm asking for too much there?

Still 100 hours to complete the game! No wonder there have been so many delays!

I wonder if this 100 hour thing also includes the multiplayer mode(s), in some form or way???
Probably very un-likely, but I just fail to see how a Starfox game can be upto 100 hours, when Zelda and co. were only around 40 average.

I completely disagree. Miyamoto said that Zelda OOT was 40 hours long... any gamer who was not completely inept could do it in less than half of that- and that includes playing around on the extra tasks and quests for a few hours. Of course, if you went on to collect every Skultula and the like, then you'd be getting up to the 40 hour mark.

The reason the 40 hour estimate was so far off was simply that Japanese gamers are rubbish! Many of their games only have the EASY mode (Resident Evil), and they take ages to complete short games that we moan about!

Mind you, if Lylat wars is any longer than Zelda, it'll keep me busy!

if you tried to complete it in a month , you still couldn't do it, as you would most likely get bored, it would take me a good few months , not solid playing , as like i said it gets boring (sometimes), maybe play a few games in between.
Any how , this is gonna be one HELL of a game !

To totally complete it, it may take 100 hours but I'm sure a run through from start to end in the quickest posible way is much shorter so that's not really an average.

Still sounds good to me.

Zelda OOT was about a 60 - 70 hour game I think

I personally think that that's one helluva over estimate!

I played FF7 n 8 for something like 60-70 hrs each, and they were HUGE RPG's! Taking ages to do because they were full of those random battles which took up a really long time. I doubt that StarFox will take 100 hrs to complete unless your like 8 yrs old or sommin'!

100 for SOME novice gamesplayers...
Count about 60 for the rest of us.

That's still really long though.

I hope they update the Lylat Wars multiplayer mode.
It was a bit weak in controls, fluidity and fun but what do you expect with a first generation title on a 5 year old machine.

With Gamecube technology and a far improved knowledge on 3D gaming, I think that an Arwing blastout as potential to be something REALLY great...
