after reading sony's new developemant, the GScube which has the power of 16 ps2's i wondered what the graphics will be like. how long will it be before graphics cannot get any better and we have to have mind chips to visualise the game in our brains? imagine that, close your eyes and the game is played through yoour nerves. why do graphics need to get so eye bleedingly good? i am not saying they shouldn't get good, but when will the penny stop? i don't want to come off a game and have the image in my brain for all night. (That happened to me with Goldeneye. All i could see was a gun moving around when i shut my eyes). lets have some sensible progrssion in graphics and no just this race for the most amount of polygons.

Of course graphics have to get better. Developers want the game to look just like real life to give us a great experience. Without this we would be playing pong all day instead of games like Zelda, Goldeneye and Half Life.

Of course graphics can get better! It might just mean using different perspectives to make things look better, but things do move on. Do you remember watching films like Terminator 2 when you were younger, and thinking that the special effects couldn't be bettered? Look at that now! I remember when I first played some SNES games, I thought that the graphics were fantastic, and wouldn't be bettered. We still have a long way to go in this area, as the improvements are still coming so quickly.
