Yeah, its a pretty cool new idea but its been done before, just not quite the same.
The Extigy plugs into a USB port and does all your sound processing from an external box.
Sound Cards such as the Hercules XP Pro (I think..) used an expansion card that you fit in your PC, which has a connector for an external box.
The Extigy will be good for people who really cant open up there PC and for laptop users who dont have sound (though there arent many that have USB but not sound..).
However, as with all USB stuff it'll put some strains on your CPU and stuff, and most probably wont be as good as an internal card.
