Yep it had to happen, some kid tried to copy a stunt which was performed on the show.

here's the article from what satellite magazine.

-----------------------------------------

Jackass copy cat stunt burns boy.

A 14-year-old from Devon set himself on fire copying a stunt from hit MTV and E4 show Jackass.

Daniel Rubio, of Plympton in Devon, was filmed by a friend as he doused his T-shirt in methylated spirits and then set it alight.

Daniel and friend Andrew Cooper hoped the video to the producers of Jackass, a whacky stunt show shown on MTV and E4.

Daniel had to jump in a nearby river and was taken to a specialist burns unit with serious injuries.

MTV said the show was broadcast with clear warning that it would not accept tapes from the public.

-------------------------------------------

i can't believe an idiot would try that, didn't they see all the flame proof stuff that Johny Knoxville wore!!

what sorta idiot attempts this kinda stunt.

This could be bad as when something like this happens quality shows like Jackass stop getting made :(

i think they should show pics of what happens if you attempt to do it at home.

on the WWF side has anyone heard of backyard wrestling if not do a search on yahoo or something, it is basicaly a few stupid people who copy wrestling moves ect and hit each other with chairs ect and they get really hurt.

some people are dumb, but like that song that played on jackass once.

"if ya gunna be dumb ya gotta be tough"

Right, what did the kid expect when he was pouring spirits on himself? Did he expect to walk out fine? If you're setting yourself alight, expect some trouble. How stupid can today's public get? On all the tv shows that insight violence, there is always (bar none) warnings to inform you of the dangers. Maybe they should do panorama programmes to show what could happen to you if you attempt Gladiators, Jackass, WWF etc.

What is wrong with today's youth?

I think it's stupid that people can ignore them so blatantly and ignorantly, thinking they know what they're doing, when they obviously don't.

It's the same with wrestling - they have warnings, yet when a child is killed, they blame the wrestling federation who plug 'don't try this at home' many times a week on Television.
