ok i probably would'nt have wanted a xbox not too long ago i have a ps2 but i have now seen how cheap they are and there are a few games that really make me want one like

halo
battlefield 1942
morrowind
starwars jedi knights 2

but there are a few problems

1) i already own a ps2 and do not want to get rid of it but my parents do not agree that i need another console

2) i was thinking about taking wildlife photography as a hobby and was going to get a digital and slr camera but i can't afford both camera xbox and games

would like to know what you would say to your parents in this situation

Xbox, sega GT, JSRF, Halo and Splinter Cell= £200

Trade in some of your old PS2 games to pay for it and you're laughing.

Direct them to this website, and show them how many people have more than one console.

Also, take them around a game store and show them how many games have "Only on Xbox" written on the cover.

You just need to prove the Xbox and PS2 provide different things.

Well, when it comes to your parents, its a case of telling them that the X-Box offers things that the PS2 doesn't. Loads of people have more than 1 console. :-)
Have you got broadband ? If so, tell your parents about X-Box Live - I'm guessing you've heard what the service has to offer, if not then you'll find plenty of talk about it in this forum. :-)
If it comes down to having to pick out of the X-Box or PS2, then thats down to you to decide. One thing I can say in the X-Box's favour is that its getting plenty of the PS2's top titles. The only real exception is the GTA games - at least until 2004 when Sony's deal with Rockstar is due to run out.
Overall though mate, the choice is yours. Same goes for the camera thing you want. :-)
I typed out a topic on here called "Thinking Of Buying An X-Box ?" Try reading through that if you wanna find out more about the console and its games. :-)
Theres been a few other titles announced since I did that topic though - I also missed out Driver 3 off the games list - Doh !
Anyway, good luck in deciding what you want mate. ;-)
