Oh, and the PS2’s pretty over-rated. Don’t trust any hype, use the links I gave you (delete the spaces) and read up on each one before you decide.

I used to have a PS2, and now have Xbox and Gamecube, so here's what I've found better on the Xbox;

*Everything can be displayed in full screen 60hz format if your tv supports it.
*RGB scart DVD playback unlike PS2's composite playback.
*5.1 sound on games and DVD's, unlike PS2's just DVD's.
*Halo.
*Xbox Live.
*Better controller, with better feedback.
*More powerful console - everything runs nice and smooth without slowdown when things get busy.

Sure, Microsoft don't have GTA Vce, but do you want a console for one game ?

There are other reasons, but the more I post the more it encourages people to say I'm wrong...

I found this large review VERY useful when deciding whether or not to get an Xbox myself.

It goes on about everything, hardware, software e.t.c. Although the dates are a bit off (according to this, it still hasn't been released in Europe) it may still be of some relevence.
