Last month I picked up a demo of Burnout 2 and another one for Red Faction 2. One was from Sony itself, the other was a demo and advert for OPS2M. Now I could have had both of these and more games besides by paying around £6 for the magazine, but these were free and a great way to try out the games.
This month, so far, I've got a demo of Kingdom Hearts and a lovely Xbox demo DVD, which showcases Halo 2 and DOA:Xtreme Vollyball among others, plus it has music videos and film trailers. Ok, so the Xbox one isn't playable, but it's a (free) step in the right direction.
Now all we need to do is convince Nintendo that demos are not evil and actually encourage people to buy games, then I'll be a lot happier.
With the seemingly growing trend to put free demos on the shop counters it looks like we may soon be able to try the games without losing money on the process. The magazines won't suffer as they will have to rely on good content and will always have more demos on their discs anyway, as well as other content. In fact, it should push them to give us more for our money.

One in Japan (and USA I think) had Zelda, Mario Party4, Resi Zero. Or something like that.
Not to sure.
