na the best divx i've ever seen is a very good quailty 2 hour film in 30mb!!! so they could make dvd on gc disks, but i doubt tht will happen :'(

well how would you create the software so gc plays a film, and how would you make disks that small?

It took them this long? Divx compression on a PC would produce almost DVD quality playback for a 1.5GB file (or however big GC discs are). The only difficulty is writing a Divx player for the GC, which wouldn't take more than a week...

I didn't understand it when i found it, anyone care to explain it in more detail, what does this mean in terms of demo disks? (video clips or actually playable demos)
